My first impression of the site is that it looks glossy and clean with a modern layout. Once I delved into it the features were pretty basic, but if your focus is on the cam shows themselves, this site should still do the trick.

Why it’s great

Bongacams.com is simple and straight-forward, without a whole lot of features to distract you from what you’re actually there for. They offer free, scheduled live shows promoted right on the home page which are pretty great, and the pages are responsive so I can have the site up next to any other windows I want to have open at the same time.

The UI is really simple, which makes it easy to find live shows, new models, categories, and the search field. Screens are large and expandable for great viewing, and some shows are even offered in HD. The chat field is also prominent, while the “Tip” and “Go Private” buttons are clearly visible as well. The model windows also feature tabs to Chat, View Bios, and Best of All – view photo galleries with enlarged images you can view and save, even as a guest.

The contact/customer service form is also really easy to find, and their billing number is clearly displayed so you can find help when you need it. They even have a 24-hour toll free number for the US, an international phone number, and a number specific to Australia.

What Needs Improvement

Despite having good cam experiences with different models, I closed my sessions feeling a bit detached from the site. Perhaps it’s because I was unable to develop a real connection with any of the performers. Its a real meat grinder in there. Nothing but hustlers. Though I can favorite models on Bongacams I feel like being able to join a model fan club would make me feel even closer to her. Also, I couldn’t figure out how the star ratings were generated, nor could I find a way to rate the models myself.

The category selection is adequate – it ranges from typical blondes to busty and even pregnant models. My problem was that when I clicked on most of them, the result was more often than not a grid of offline models. If I browsed around from the home page, I could generally find someone from my selected categories broadcasting live, so I’m not sure why I couldn’t find those specific models directly from their own categories. The same thing also happened when I clicked on the “New Models” link and performed a search for Asians.

HD is not a top priority for these models. It definitely should be because these beautiful girls best side is not being highlighted. I found way too many models with grainy dirty broadcasts. That isn’t good enough these days no matter how good a model can be.

While nice to look at, the home page lacks pagination and a sense of order. For example, once I clicked through the first couple pages, it was hard for me to keep track of where I was in my search. Moreover, there aren’t any numbers on the site indicating how many models are on the site, and how many are online.

Another issue is that while all the models I communicated with spoke English, there was no indication of whether they spoke other languages or not. Other sites have flags or links to other languages so at least it’s clear there’s the option to chat with non-English models. This wasn’t an issue for me, but it may be for international customers.

The mobile site needs a lot of work as well. If you watch a model as a guest, the window grays out prompting sign-up after just a few minutes. After login, Online vs. Private was so confusing I couldn’t really tell what the actual state of the broadcast was.

The Models

The models on Bongacams were average – some were hot, others were ok, and some were just not my type. Some needed to be egged on, so I tipped a few with little action. It wasn’t until I went private that I got some excitement. A lot of random moms, college girls or ex-strippers are broadcasting on this site.

The full set of cam categories includes: Alternative, Asian, BBW, BBW, Black, Blonde, Bondage, Brunette, Couples, European, Men, Indian, Interracial, Latinas, Lesbians, Mature, Pregnant, Redhead, Teen (18+), Threesomes, and Transsexuals.

Features

The site provides notifications when favorite models go online, which is the one feature that makes me want to come back. Free live shows are offered at posted dates and times, and they list past shows though I didn’t see a way to watch them. Other than that, the features are pretty standard – Free Shows, Private Shows, Tipping, some HD content, Favoriting, Chat and Whisper Mode with emoticons, and model messaging.

Cost

The site works off of credits that are used to watch shows. The credit pricing is as follows:

• $9.99 for 10 credits
• $29.99 for 30 credits
• $49.99 for 60 credits with 10 in bonus credits
• $74.99 for 90 credits with 15 in bonus credits
• $99.99 for 125 credits with 25 in bonus credits

Customer service

Customer service is satisfactory. Emails are responded to within 48 hours, and live assistance is also offered. I had an issue where a model disconnected immediately after I paid for a private show and the live chat agent resolved my issue in less ten minutes. While I waited, I simply watched another show. Very convenient.

Billing

You are billed only for the credits you purchase and most include free bonus credits. They accept credit cards but it’s not clear which ones, so I just submitted a Visa which was approved. After logging in with a new upgraded account, I was offered 10 credits for only $1.19 (88% off). They also auto-rebill. I am not sure how foreign viewers pay for stuff since it did not list foreign payment options.

Final thoughts

Comparatively, my time on Bongacams.com was OK. The site doesn’t overwhelm me in any way, but it does the job if I want to get in and get out. I would say if you love random people on cams this would be it.
