Simplicity is the name of the game on Firecams.com, so if that’s what you’re into this site is perfect. If you’re looking for lots of cool features and extras, however, you may want to look elsewhere for your online camming needs. This site offers models for you straight foward.
The simplistic look of the site makes it easy to navigate, with countless model categories easily accessible right from the homepage. They also have a great mobile app, as well as a “Frequent Tipper” loyalty program that despite the unfortunate name offers customers lots of great incentives to keep coming back.
I love it that they keep the model viewing cells huge. I always need my viewing sizes large and like how they default them to large sizes.
Of the few extra features on the site, I really appreciate the “One-Click Buying” option that lets you buy more credits without having to leave the chat room or show. It’s really convenient, and eliminates the fear of your credits running out during a particularly hot model performance. They also offer the occasional “Celebrity Event” in which users can chat for free with special visiting models. It’s a pretty cool perk.
One tagline reads: “Firecam Models are ready to go!” I’m not sure what that means, but I want to find out.
I find it strange that you can only view full model profiles (and access model messaging features) when the models are online, but not when they are offline. Personally, I like to check out model bios when deciding if I would like to go private, so not having access to that information while they are online doesn’t make much sense to me. I like to read up about a model and see what information the list so I can get to know more about them. I want to be able to have stuff to talk about when I see them.
Some models are attractive and some are not, so it’s pretty much a crap-shoot every time you do a search. They are willing to get a little more active than other models I’ve seen, which makes it feel like the most “enthusiastic” of all cam sites. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing since some of the shows can be really gritty. If you’re into that sort of thing it’s perfect.
As far as model categories go, there are plenty to choose from including popular searches, models online now, physical traits, and show types. They’re not as well-organized as they could be, but at least there is plenty to choose from.
Firecams.com offers Free Chat, as well as Private Shows. The higher-end Private shows can run high, but still isn’t bad considering that pricing is usually for the top-tier models who broadcast in HD. If you’re really feeling like a baller you can also check out live special visiting model webcams which are great quality shows, but will cost you a pretty penny (the ones I saw ranged from $11.90 to $14.90 /min). You can also go cam-2-cam if you want the models to see you as well.
If you’re looking for something a little more cost effective, Happy Hour shows start at $0.88/min, and you can spy on other Private Shows for $0.98/min.
You can message models and get access to their photo galleries, but for some reason I only see these features listed for offline models. I contacted customer service to see if that is just a glitch, but have yet to hear back. They also offer recorded video galleries, with the pricing determined on a per-minute basis depending on the model you choose.
In order to become a paying member of the site, you must first buy credits which are sold in the following packages:
Once you’ve purchased credits, you can then start racking up “Frequent Miles” which determine your membership level.
Miles are awarded based on the number of credits you buy, in the following increments:
25 credits = 2 miles, 50 credits = 6 miles, 75 credits = 9 miles, 100 credits = 13 miles, 250 credits = 35 miles
As you rack up miles and go up in membership levels, you are eligible for cheaper shows, free credits, and credit bonuses when you buy more.
A contact form can be found in the “Help” section of the site, but inquiries are only accepted in English and are seldom responded to in my experience. There is no customer service phone number listed, nor is there a direct email address, so the contact form is pretty much all there is.
Third party billing is done through CCbill and Epoch, which accept most major credit cards. All billing questions must be directed offsite to the third party biller, which can be kind of a pain.
They also accept online checks, which appear to be processed directly through Firecams.com.
It’s not the best cam site I’ve used, but it is the least expensive so far which is a plus. If you’re low on cash and looking for something that will still get the job done, this site is probably your best bet. Bargain hunting can give you the best treats.
