MyFreeCams is different from other cam sites in many ways – some good, and some bad. While I didn’t walk away with the sense I had found a new favorite, the site does have a few features you won’t see anywhere else. It likes to show you all the models all at once in very small images. This is the default setting, but it can be changed.

Why It’s Great

Each show is a set price, so you always know how much a round with your favorite performer will cost no matter what. This is great for people like me who tend to get really into the show and lose all track of time, only to realize $50 later that they’ve racked up quite a bill. The load time is faster than most other sites which I love. Some girls literally post a menu price. It can be pretty helpful if you have limited tokens. I do prefer enlargening the window sizes because the default size is quite small. It’s easy to do so its not a real big problem.

They also offer member chatrooms so cam lovers can interact and discuss their favorite models and shows. This feature is free and is one of things you can enjoy with an unpaid membership. Once you do decide to upgrade to Premium you can view any show you want and message any model, any time. it is fun to be able to see other viewers online. You can see their screen name so you can see who are the regulars.

What Needs Improvement

Appearance wise, the site doesn’t look great. it is a little old school. The layout is confusing and it’s very hard to figure out how to find the models you want. Not to mention the fact it kinda feels like falling into a time warp and landing back in 2006. The chat windows offer hilarious font and color choices (electric blue Comic Sans, anyone?) and they come complete with outdated emojis. What’s worse, the model bios look like old Myspace profiles with sparkly backgrounds, and you guessed it, even more Comic images. Who is to say old is worse though stylistically. We all go to dive bars because we like it a little dirty.

One of the bigger issues I found was trying to determine which models were online, in free chat and in private without having to do a search was pretty much impossible. I had to physically click on every thumbnail to see what that particular model was doing, which was way too much effort. The search features are also terrible; models are grouped into vague categories and from what I see, there’s no way to search by physical attributes which is pretty important to me. You can search by tags, but the results turn up far too many unrelated models I have no interest in. Again the small model images do have some negative tradeoffs.

The Amazing Models

There are thousands of models on the site, and for the most part they are very attractive. Most seem to enjoy what they do, but I stumbled across a few who were either bored out of their minds or just really unhappy to be there. Maybe a price/service menu has this kind of effect. I bet the hottest or funniest models don’t have boredom problems. The ones that are talented made sure to provide lots of links to their content off site. You can follow them through their social media channels.

The site has models of all types – different races, body types, and fetishes – but it’s really hard to enjoy the diversity without a good search tool to help narrow down the list of performers. The only way to search for models is to look at their profile image. Kinda of like looking at Backpage or Craiglist ads. No easy way to get what you want here too.

Features

MyFreeCams offers a variety of chat types with varying levels of interaction and privacy.

Free Chat – This no cost chat is usually non-nude, although you can occasionally see some action if someone else in the room requests it (and tips the model enough actually do it). Leeching benefits some veiwers this way.

Private Shows – These shows are private, but other members are able to spy on what the model is doing though they cannot read the chat conversation. Private Shows cost 60 tokens per minute.

Spy Shows – For 20 tokens, you can spy on other Private Shows in progress. You can’t interact with the model, but it’s an inexpensive way to see the all the action.

True Private – This chat type is 100% private, with no spies allowed. Chat with the model or go cam-to-cam knowing no one else can see what’s going on in the room. This is the most expensive offering at 80 tokens a minute.

Group Shows – At 10 tokens a minute, this is the cheapest option and requires two other members to enter the room with you.

Cost

Free members are automatically upgraded to Premium status the first time they buy tokens, which are sold in a package of 200 for $19.99. Larger packages become available once you’ve been a Premium member for a few months, and they also offer rewards programs that give you a point for every ten tokens you purchase. Who just buys just a Jackson when watch any cam site? No discounts for buying higher amounts though. Wish they would though.

Customer Service

They offer a MyFreeCams wiki that answers almost any question you can think of, which is great if you just need some billing help or have a question about the features. There is also a contact form, but they do not reply to every message if they feel the issue has been addressed elsewhere on the site. I didn’t see a phone number listed anywhere, and judging by the fact I sent two separate messages and received a response to neither, I’m guessing customer service in not their biggest priority.

Billing

They use two different billing processors, so you can choose the one that best suits your needs. The recommended option is Epoch, which accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, JCB, Switch/Solo, Maestro, and Carte Bleue Visa. The second option is CCBill, which accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and JCB. If you are in the USA you will be fine. if you are out of the USA you have to jump some hoops.

Again, they offer no customer support line for billing issues – just a list of frequently asked questions and links to the third party billers should you wish to direct any questions their way.

Final Thoughts

I don’t love the site like I love my Jameson but I don’t hate it like Blueballs either. While the overall look is outdated and they desperately need to upgrade the model search tool, I did enjoy the shows I paid for. Dive bars have their appeal because how how real they are. MyFreeCams keeps it REAL!
