Streamate is one of the most popular cam sites in the world. Its simple design and extensive features make it entertaining, fun to use, and budget friendly. I’ve been a member for a while, and this is my go-to place for Gold shows and Friday Night Fiesta specials. Not sure what those are? Read on!

Why It’s Great

The sign-up process is really fast and easy. I filled out some basic information, entered my credit card number and decided on a model to take private within the span of a few minutes. There are tons of model categories to choose from, and performers have extensive profiles detailing everything you need to know about them and the types of shows they provide.

Video quality is good for the most part with many shows offered in HD, plus model audio is available for an even more well-rounded experience. They also offer fantastic features like phone chat, and weekly special shows. My personal favorite is the Friday Night Fiesta Challenge, in which several hot models compete against one another using various toys.

The video cell is huge. It’s the largest on any cam site. It’s the best idea ever. Some of the models aren’t in HD though so this works against these specific models.

What Needs Improvement

Not all shows are broadcast in HD. The ones that are not HD are referred to as “High-Quality” although many of them are not. They also need to provide more information on the various chat types in the FAQs so viewers don’t need to go searching around the site for information. The chat types are clearly labeled, but I had to go on a scavenger hunt to figure out what they actually mean and how much they cost.

I also noticed a few of the models off camera a little too much during Party Chat, which gets pretty boring and left me with no desire to stay for a show. Who wants to go to a concert and see the act sit around. Have some showmanship please. I spent five minutes watching one girl wander out of her room for what seemed like forever, then return to clean her camera lens for another several minutes. I kept watching because she was attractive and I was very interested in taking her private at first, but after that I just had to leave the room and find someone else to watch. Maybe some people like to see the mundance cam feeds. I just don’t happen to be one of those people.

Another issue, and perhaps the biggest one as far as I’m concerned is that I started receiving a ton of spam from Streamate right away, which is a big turnoff. Within an hour of joining I had three emails encouraging me to check out EroticMatch.com, which appears to be a Streamate related dating site.

The Models

The models are hot! They definitely know how to upsell by offering extra “surprises” during the more costly shows. Its not that much more, but you know a hustler when you see one. While I’m generally not a fan of upselling, I can tell you from the shows I have seen it’s almost always worth the extra time and money.

Streamate.com also has so many model categories. You could almost get lost in a sea of women. I love variety, and this site definitely has it. Some of them are from foreign countries because they have some super sexy accents. These are the (numerous) categories they offer:

Features

Streamate offers lots of different chat options to choose from like Party Chat, Private Chat, Exclusive Chat, and Gold shows. Here’s a little more information on each, so you don’t need to scour the site for details like I did:

Party Chat – This is a free chat in which one can often see “more of the models” (yay!) as the models try to entice viewers into taking them private.

Gold Shows – These shows are pre-arranged, and start when a model has received a set amount of “Gold,” the official currency used on the site. To watch a Gold Show simply give the model gold to reserve your spot, then wait for the show to begin.

Private Chat – These are private in the sense they are paid chats that are not viewable to the general public, though other members are free to join at any time.

Exclusive Chat – This is completely private, and can be done cam-to-cam style if you want the model to see you as well. They also offer an additional phone service that can be used during Exclusive sessions.

All shows are billed on a per-minute basis, but “block sessions” are also available for those who wish to buy a set amount of time (15 mins, 30 mins, etc.) at a discounted rate. Cheaper at scale is what every viewer loves.

Cost

All “Basic” memberships are free, and you can earn “Premium” status just by entering a credit card number. The good news is you don’t pay until you actually buy “Gold,” which is the form of currency used to make purchases on Streamate. Gold can be used to view paid shows, access certain features, and tip models.

As for chat prices, they range from $1.99 to $9.99 per minute, depending on the model and show type. Shows can also be purchased in blocks for the following discounted rates:

• 5% off 15-minute blocks
• 10% off 30-minute blocks
• 15% off 45-minute blocks
• 20% off 60-minute blocks

Customer service

Streamate offers great customer support via email, a 24/7 phone line, and live chat. While turnaround time is fairly quick with all three methods (I received a reply to my email within a few hours), the live chat option is by far the fastest, with my questions being answered within seconds. It makes you feel good when a company actually has customer service. Atleast they have an option to try to fix your problem.

Billing

The billing system is straight forward and discreet so no one has to know you have a penchant for cam sites but you. The following payment methods are accepted: Visa/Visa Debit/Visa Electron, Mastercard/Mastercard Debit, Switch, Maestro, Discover, JCB, Delta, and Diners Club. If you are USA based you have no issues, but if you are not USA based you will need to find the payment system supported in your area.

Final thoughts

While far from perfect, I can still see why Streamate is such a popular cam site. They offer some of the best features I’ve seen anywhere, and the models are really good at what they do. On default, they have the largest cam cells of any cam site I have seen, which warms my heart.
